Lines, Curves and Textures
« on: April 02, 2011, 06:57:44 am »

This is just a simple attempt to pull together some basic fabric elements.  I like the combination but would like to get some other opinions/comments/suggestions.

Have done a B&W rendering of it? Because there is little colour and no dominating object that is coloured I think it would probably look better? However the shapes and textures aren't at all obvious which a B&W rendering would possibly be the best way to emphasize them? :)

Thanks for commenting.  Yes I have done a B&W rendering and as you indicate it is a somewhat stronger image.  You really answered the question I was posing in the sense that you indicate that the geometric elements are not that strong.  At this time of year we have a lot of heavy gray sky and very limited color so I have taken on a affinity for very subtle color.  Also, as I am red-green color challenged it has been my experience that I am more open to/interested in  subtle geometric queues and perhaps subtle color variation than normal color sited folks.
Cheers.
