Digital Blending Action Problem.

I've finally solved the problem by going into channels and making visible only the mask channel (while hiding the RGB channels), then pasting in.

Digital Blending Action Problem.

I've tried creating an action in CS2 for combining two different exposures to increase dynamic range. It's basically the method called "Digital Blending" outlined by Michael on this site. I've been mostly successful, but to make it work I've had to break it down into two actions, and do a manual keystroke in between. I've been unable to get Photoshop to record this manual keystroke. The keystroke in question is pressing the alt/option key on a Mac whilst clicking on a layer mask. The goal of this is to make visible the layer mask into which I will then insert a copied image of the primary backround layer. Should be simple enough. Can anyone help me here?
