Tips for loading letter sheets into Epson 9800
« on: March 28, 2011, 01:35:37 pm »

Just wondering if anyone has any advice for lining up letter sized sheets in the Epson 9800? Often, when I load a letter sheet, the print will come out slightly crooked. This isn't a problem on bigger sheets, as I can feed them through to the lower line to line them up, but the 9800 won't let you do this with letter sheets; top load only. Anybody figure out a sure fire way to line up small sheets with these printers?

Do you know that some Epson media comes in 10" rolls? And then use the cutter.

One must artfully position the sheet oh-so-gently against the stops, then give it a staccato tap downward on the top of the sheet with the finger next to your thumb.  One must be firm but not overbearing.  It's a dance.  It may help to think happy thoughts.  I used to get it right about 80% of the time when I was at my prime.  Takes practice.
