Is there any optical difference between the Zeiss/Hasselblad 110mm f/2 F and the EF version?

What is the oldest copy you would buy from the F series? 1970s, 80s, 90s...?  Thanks a lot.

I am sorry if my question is too basic.

Interesting... isn't that the same question you asked ten days ago and got several relevant, comprehensive and satisfactory answers?

I am sorry. I wasn't specific. Is there "any optical difference"?  I know by now that there is electronic communication between the camera and the FE lens.

  • Still crazy, after all these years

It's all been said. There is no optical difference. Slobodan posted you the spec sheet links.

As long as the glass is in good condition, any version should be fine. There is no in-lens shutter to worry about with the F lenses, so there is nothing to wear out. All you have to worry about is physical damage to the front and rear elements, and possibly fungus. I have a 49 year old C lens which is still going strong.

John,

Thanks a lot! This is the answer I have been waiting for. I didn't ask the right question before. Thanks again!
