CFV Back and Rollei 6008 AF
« on: March 13, 2011, 09:47:36 pm »

Does anybody know whether the Hasselblad 16 MP CFV back can be used on a Rollei 6008 AF with an appropriate adaptor?

Thanks, Joris.

AFAIK the answer is no. The CFV is a dedicated v-mount back. if you want something for the Rollei look at a CF back or an older Ixpress back.

The options for the Rollei are:

- various Sinar backs
- various Hasselblad backs
- the Rollei DB20p (basically a converted Phase One P20 back)

Thanks for the replies!

I am not sure whether Sinar is a very viable option in the US.
It would be interesting to hear experiences from people who bought a Sinar back in the US.

I am not sure what is happening with the Hasselblad backs.
Currently the only one available seems to be the CFII-39MS which at $29K is too expensive for me.
I guess used backs is always an option.

Thanks, Joris.

There's lots of backs out there that are not too pricy that will work. I'd look for the ixpress 96c, 132c, 384c  or a used phase p20 personally if wanted an inexpensive back.

Hi JV,

I have a Sinar 54M I bought used, I sent it back to sinar in August for service after I damaged it. Sinar support was top notch and easy to reach. The turn around time was a bit longer than i like because the factory was off for part of August i was told. Aside from damage i dont think there would be any reason to send it in for service..I know plenty of Sinar users in the U.S. no worries, I shoot with a non AF rollei 6008i.....if anything I would be more concerned with Rollei service ...lot more moving parts in the 6008 !

Regards,

Dennis
