Old Leica Glass on Pentax 645D
« on: March 10, 2011, 02:43:43 pm »

The "ultimate" old and new technology! Old Visoflex lenses on state of the art Pentax 645D medium format digital camera. Apparently they cover the frame. Most lenses are "pre-set": focus wide open, then stop down. Aperature Auto  Preferred works with the camera set to "Av" . Link to the Pentax User's Group is here:

I have lots of 645 lenses, but always looking for fun/new lens ideas.

Best regards
Dave

Nothing new in this really. Those Visoflex adapters have been on ebay for a long time, for all the main focal-plane shutter MF cameras (P67, Hassy V 2*, P645, M645), and 35mm format (D)SLRs.

I looked at the Leica lenses but nothing tempted me; they are slow and overpriced in comparison to my Mamiya 645 glass.
