Fuji GX 680 + Phase One H20 + Kapture Group One Shot
« on: February 11, 2011, 12:36:56 pm »

I'm the proud owner of a Fuji GX680 Mark I, a Phase One H20 and the Kapture Group One Shot PHA-004B thingie. The whole setup is working - well, sort of  :D

I have the camera and the back setup in the same way as in the photo on the KG website (one cable to the back, two cables to the camera - remote control and flash sync). The back is tethered to a Windows Laptop, running Capture One - the software sees the back, both lights are green. The flashes are triggered via a Pocket Wizard in the Fuji's hotshoe.

When I hit the trigger on the KG box, the camera and flash fire, the lights on the back start blinking, after 1 to 2 seconds the back gives a "low" beep, the lights start blinking again and after another 1 - 2 seconds the back gives a "high" beep. C1 finally shows me a dark frame  ???

If I hit the trigger again immediately after the "low" beep, I get a perfectly good picture - I guess that what is called to "two shot" the back - which shouldn't be necessary with KG box at all. Is my setup wrong, or does my KG box not do what it is supposed to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated  :)

Yes, I know and I have read that (more than once), but I still can't find the problem. I also don't know if it makes a difference that I have a Mark I and your text is for a Mark III - a lot of batteries described are just not needed on my camera for example...

Thanks,

Herbert

:-\ Sorry that didn't help you.

Have you spoken to your dealer?

Well, no, but I bought the stuff in bits and pieces privately, mostly from ebay - maybe I can ask the previous owner of the KG box for help...

Do you know what the two kinds of beep from the H20 mean? I can't find anything about that in he manual?

Thanks again,
