FS 8x10 Kodak Master View near perfect EX+
« on: February 09, 2011, 01:44:49 pm »

This Kodak Master Camera is the best example I have ever owned. I searched for years before I came across this one. I am the second owner (NASA was the first) and purchased it from the Lockheed optics tech that was responsible for it in Sunnyvale California. It has been my prize camera. When we moved to Florida I slowed way down in my shooting and over the course of 10 years sold off my 4x5 Master Technika Kit, My Hasselblad kit, my drum scanner etc., but this camera was to perfect and dear to sell.
Now we are moving onto our boat and this is no place for this machine. SB rating EX+.
The bellows is like new, the paint nearly perfect. I made a ¼ thick plex cover for the ground glass held on by Velcro tabs so the perfect glass would be protected. I shot a lot of film and Polaroid’s with her. The joy to compose in that large ground glass is something else. I later purchased an original 5x7 back (SB rating EX- to EX) and a Burke & James back I was going to fit a 4x5 Graflok to but never did. I machined a factory lens board to fit the standard 4x4 Graphic boards. The camera comes with a factory board drilled for a #4 ACME shutter as well as the Speed board setup. Or, you can buy it with any (or all) of my lenses installed. I have a 7.5”, 190mm Kodak Ektar WF. 12”, 305mm, Commercial Ektar. 360mm Symmar (TECHNIKA) convertible with a 24” APO Red Dot Artar threaded for the same shutter.

$1850.00 firm includes the Camera body with the 5x7 back, the B&J back, two lensboards, the fitted road case and original owners manual. Less expensive than a Wilderness and made in the USA!

I can be reached @ 727-410-4138

Regards to all and thanks for drooling.
Bill

The camera, lenses, tripod (O’Connor), etc can be viewed in a slide show here.
