obviously I need to update my web site :-)

I'm about 50/50 digital these days.  Actually in terms of photos taken, it is more like 95/5. In terms of results I like, film still seems to have a much higher success rate.  I'm not entirely sure why.

Busy is the right word, I don't even work in Switzerland at the time. And when I'm back, the schedule is full. Earliest January, sorry.

I'm not based in Switzerland, but my recent landscape shots remind me why I'd like to return soon! Beautiful country!!

Some of the photos can be found here.

Are there any landscape photographers ("lanscapers") based in Switzerland present in this forum here?

Landscape photography hasen't been my main interest in photography so far. But since having moved to the "Zurich Upper Country", lanscapes are becoming more and more of a topic.

Below a rather graphical shot taken from the Hörnli summit. In the foreground, you can see Bachtel (1115m) including its characteristic tower. The two 'shark teeth' in the background are the 'Grosser Mythen' (1899m) and 'Kleiner Mythen' (1811m) in central Switzerland. Due to the 400mm used on a 20D, the perspective is heavily compressed, resulting in am overall rather 'unreal' scene.

David,

Nice work. Based on the equipment you mention, it seems you haven't been seduced by digital - yet?

It looks like there is a Swiss audience present here, pretty much from all regions of the country.
If we're enough people, we could organize photo excursions: for example, somebody from Luzern could organize a half-day trip on a weekend to some locations "off the beaten track". The results could be discussed during a dinner.

Anybody interested?

Hi Andi,
It would be interesting but I work on weekends

Anyway, if you do something, please post some info here.

Good shooting,
