Nikkor 500mm F4 AIP - Great Lens
« on: January 27, 2011, 08:45:54 pm »

Nikkor 500mm F4 AiP lens - serviced by Nikon several months ago - one part was replaced and the lens was given a complete check-up and left the shop meeting Nikon's standards. We would grade the lens as overall mint-minus shape. Lens was purchased in 2001 by us.

Glass has six small rub marks that are only visible when holding the front element at a certain angle. I just discovered these while making a few photographs of the lens to send to interested buyers. Otherwise, the f-stop clicks are snappy; perhaps 1-2 tiny dust specks within the glass - the dust and rub marks do not affect image quality at all. Email for photos - the lens works as it should and the only negatives I can see are a few tiny marks here and there...not significant in photo-making.

$2150 net to me. You pay shipping and Paypal fees. Comes with original hard traveling case, drop in filter, etc. Everything that Nikon provided with this lens...Plus a Kirk plate.

24 T/S F3.5 Nikkor now listed - see other ad - in absolute mint shape

[SOLD] Nikkor 200mm Macro F4 - $1000 net to me (absolute mint shape - glass and body); the lens had the AF-MF switch replaced by Nikon about a year ago, and has not been used since except to test. You Pay Paypal fees - I'll pick up shipping fees. [SOLD]

[SOLD] Nikkor 10.5mm fisheye - $499 net to me. Mint glass and Excellent plus body (perhaps one wear marks on edge of one fin that I have to look hard to see; most people would call this lens mint body and certainly mint glass). I have the box and receipts..[SOLD]

----------
Will ship outside of the USA but you pay all Paypal, shipping fees and any insurance, if so desired.

You can avoid PayPal fees by using the "Gift" Option...see feedback for me - you'll be fine.

I am the original owner of all of this equipment.

Photos will be made available to those with a serious interest. It may take a couple of days - but I am in no hurry...just want to do this right so that you are satisfied. If you are on SKYPE it might be easier for me just to show you "live" any of the items above. You can then ask questions or ask to see specific areas of the item - in real time. Why? I have found that for items in great shape, dust spots appear as nicks and one can never show the glass as good as it looks in real life...metal rings blow out and the barrel is lost in black...

Do you know if the L plate will fit a D700? I'd be interested if it does!
