Wow! As if an Angel had built her and placed her there iridescent with all a child represents....absolutely palpable, quivering and emanating from the frame...BEAUTIFULLY captured!

She's a sweetie for sure!

Nice shot, too...

Ha! After I made that comment about the color theme a few images ago, Michael threw in that B&W 'dancers' image to throw me off (that was a great image too).

This one is grand.  Michael, if you make a book of this trip, put me on the waiting list.

What incredible light!!  Joe McNally would have had about 12 strobes and 3 or 4 assistants to get this.  Michael, how about telling us how you did it.  Was it just light bouncing off an adjacent wall, or did you add something?

We were showing some friends around town one Sunday morning and were near a church where some sort of ceremony had just ended. All I had with me was a Panasonic LX5 in my back pocket.

The little girl was with her parents and slightly older brother (maybe 10) standing outside the church. I was taken with her sweetness and charm and took a few candids...nothing special.

Then her older brother borrowed her dad's camera and took her over to a nearby stone wall in the shade to take a picture of her. Lots of people were standing around smiling at the cute scene.

I walked over next to the boy and took a few frames as he posed her for his shot. He did a pretty good job.

That's the whole story. Be there, have a camera handy, and be ready to exploit the moment when it presents itself.

I've seen Jay carry his Nikon DSLR when he goes to the corner store for bread and milk.
