Tilt Shift for EOS D
« on: January 10, 2011, 08:13:02 am »

hello.
For some time now i have been looking into tilt-shift adapters and lenses for Canon EOS system.
Does anybody have any experience with adapters, which are good, where to find them?
what are the prices? Do they support AF from the lens or at least AF confirmation?

Thanks for the help.
A.

I use a Mirex with medium format lenses.  They offer several different options (all medium format of course).  Neither Mirex or any of the other suppliers offer AF.

PS, you could add an AF confirm ship to any adapter I suppose, but it would then report the same lens info for all lenses used.  However I wouldn't bother as I think you really need MF for T/S lens use in any case.

What lens focal length are you using with the Mirex on your Canon?  What does the focal length appear as to you as vs its actual length?  Meaning crop factor.

Mainly 35mm.  It's the same as any 35mm lens.  ie while on 645 a 35mm is pretty wide, the 35mm lens on the Mirex is the same as a 35mm Canon lens.

Thanks.  I have a Mirex coming for my Sony 850.  Need to get a Mamiya 645 lens to use.
