Clematis on the 120
« on: January 04, 2011, 06:42:15 am »

One of my very favourite lenses for the Hasselblad 500 is the 120mm S-Planar. This is a specialist close-up lens – not a macro, mind, as it only focuses to 3 feet – but it is optimised for the near-field, not infinity, as most of the ‘Blad lenses are. I almost always use it on a tripod, with long exposures to get a decent DOF, for still-life and garden pictures around the house. This is an example, taken in the Spring last year, of the clematis around my kitchen window.
