I very much like the blueness of the scene in the first image which reinforces the newness/freshness of the snow. And the soft shadows in the mounds and overall scene that allow the landscape to have character and definition. Very nice.

Of the three, I prefer the third one, placing the first two in the 'nice shot' category. I like the lines in the third one. However, everyone gets an opinion!

I really like the first one! We don't get that much snow in Southern California, are those mounds made by the wind?

My preference also goes for the third imageā¦ I quite like the trees. The second and first photos are also very pleasing and the blueish tones convey a sense intense cold.

#1 is interesting because it gets you trying to figure out what the mounds are. #3 is pleasant but you've seen shots like these. Thanks.

Thanks for all the comments!
The mounds are snow covered stones. There is a lot of snow here now, and it's cold too!

The lens used for these shots are Sigma 10-20mm EX DC HSM
