EOS 20D noise higher then the EOS 10D?
« on: October 28, 2004, 07:20:41 am »

I recall your mention of having not realized that fast (high ISO) films are grainier than slower films.  Do you perhaps have your 20D set for high ISO?  You should be shooting at 100 ISO unless you absolutely have to shoot in relatively dark conditions with high shutter speeds.  In that case you need higher ISO, but you'll have to live with more sensor noise.

I am a previous EOS 10D owner and I have been using the EOS 20D for about a week now.  I have noticed that the noise level on the EOS 20D seem to be much higher then the 10D.  Are you guys noticing the same or is it perhaps a glitch in my camera?

Elie, not on mine. My 20D images are noticably cleaner than my old 10D.
