Sorry, that's "Olympus".  I have a bad case of FFS (Fat Finger Syndrome).

It appears that I can't edit the post title...

The E-1 has been out for quite a while and the E-300 for a couple of months and I was wondering if Olympus' "Supersonic Wave Filter" is really as effective at removing dust on the sensor as all the reviews touted it would be.  I did some searching at the larger review sites and forums and really didn't find any information.

Searching on Google for olympus "supersonic wave filter" effectiveness only got seven hits!

I'm a Canon shooter and use the Visible Dust brushes to remove dust, and it isn't a problem for me.  This is more of an academic question.

I'm surprised that none of the full time camera testers has not performed a long term  or comparison test of the anti-dust system of Olympus.

Michael, do any of your professional colleagues shoot with the E-1 system and if so how do they find the Olympus dust control working?

The Olympus SSWF appears to work very well. Almost every person who owns an E1 speaks very highly of this aspect of the design.
