Journey into the Australian outback desert garden - galleries
« on: December 06, 2010, 04:19:58 am »

I wasn't sure where to post this, because it is about possible landscape photographic locations for others and general interest - so I have posted here and also in the coffee corner. I hope that it's ok to do so.

I would like any interested LL forum members to come travel with me by looking through my galleries of a recent trip through the desert garden.
Here is the link to also enjoy our desert journey! -

The Australian outback has had unprecedented rain this year.... and it was just breathtakingly beautiful.

Rather than the ‘Best Of’ tour that we have become accustomed in our fast paced ‘grab quick’ lives, I have offered extensive galleries for those who wish to really get an idea of the 10,000 km which we travelled. This is the closest many will get to travelling in this beautiful landscape, which is why I have included so many photos and an extensive gallery. I think of these galleries as like a good book – you can either dive into them and just keep going, or you can come back to them when you make the time….then when you are finished you have an enriched experience which has moved or touched something in your psyche. I hope these galleries which I share do that.

All the galleries and photos are in chronological order – as I saw and snapped, mostly whilst driving!

Horizons may not be horizontal….. some may not be in focus…….. compositions may not be quite right …….. but for these photographs none of these things matter for me. Although some of these photographs are quite beautiful, my purpose is to have a visual diary to record and share this truly special and spectacular part of this country – when it has not before been seen like this in living memory.
