Bull Pen - N. Georgia Mountains
« on: December 05, 2010, 03:08:15 am »

Hi,

This is near the Chattooga River (where the movie "Deliverance" was filmed).  The shot was taken from an old single lane iron bridge and is in an isolated area.
Naturally, I was wearing my "Paddle Faster, I Hear Banjo Music"  T-shirt.

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave,

Its hard not to like shots like this - lovely stream, lovely colour in the leaves - nature at its most peaceful. Well captured.

Can't see the photo.  Have you removed it?

Not sure what happened.  I re-entered the link and it seems OK now.

Best,

Dave

It has disappeared for me, too. Too bad. I hope you can retrieve it.

Eric

P.S. I get a big empty box on screen where the image should be. Right-clicking in the image I can select the image link and open it in a new browser window. Perhaps pbase doesn't want you to link to photos???

Hi Eric,

Pbase has no rule preventing the linking to photos, though the account holder can set a photo to be non-linkable (made up word). The photo continues to display properly for me so I have no idea what the problem may be.  Oh well, not all that important.  I'll simply delete it if it continues to be trouble.  Thanks for informing me.

Best,

Dave

This is what the servers at PBase respond when the image is displayed inside the page:
HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden
Date: Sat, 11 Dec 2010 12:08:15 GMT
Server: Apache/2.0.58 (Unix)
Content-Length: 324
Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=100
Connection: Keep-Alive
Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

Seems like hotlinking is not allowed.

Hi Nill

Good for you.  We eat a lot of fresh trout caught in the N. Ga Mountains. It doesn't get much better.  Well, maybe a little better in the Black Forrest region of Germany, but going there is a tad inconvenient.

Dave
