Lightroom 3 startup issue
« on: December 04, 2010, 02:20:07 am »

This one has me scratching my head... About a month ago I upgrade to a new imac and used the migration assistant to move everything over to the new machine. Everything was working perfectly until a common photoshop action that I use was causing the machine to crash, and not a screen freeze kind of crash but a "someone pulled the power plug" kind of crash. Fixed the crash issue by running photoshop in 32bit mode. After one of these crashes Lightroom went nuts and every time I open it now the "Welcome to adobe photoshop lightroom" screen appears (the one that comes up the first time you install and run lightroom). Also it forgets all my settings like selected profiles and other catalogues when I Go file>open recents. Oddly it remembers my printing templates...  I have no idea whats going on here and I've spent the last few hours searching for anyone who's had this issue and i can't find a thing. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Thomas,
Have you tried to remove the preference file?
