leaf afi 10 back/sinar hy6 body issue

Hello

I have a new leaf afi 10 back connected to a hy6 sinar body( firmware 3.1 ).Everything seems to work except i cant trip the shutter.
I wonder if I missed something setting up the back? The back gives a message ready to shoot and when I press the shutter release it ( the camera) says back busy. Any thoughts??

In the back's Camera menu, check that the camera type is set to AFi and not to Large Format or something else.

Also I assume that you have a CF card in the back?

Yes it is set to AFI and I have a properly formatted card !

Its beautiful looking back - just wont take pictures!!

one more thing,  when I press the button the back fan wakes up - so its sensing the camera. i have tried it with just battery in camera and also with batteries in both. As I said everything seems to work fine except for the release.

Does the camera fire without the back on it?

Yes it does.Also  the camera normally has a sinar 75 back attached - and it works fine.

Sorry to be a pest - it is 7pm here and my dealer is closed.

Problem solved!!

The instructions that came with the back say that you MUST first format the CF card on a computer - I did that ! - and it does NOT work.

My dealer suggested formating in camera instead - and it works  now all I need to do is figure out the software
