So they don’t ship overseas?

I have sent two emails to CI with nary a response about buying refurb/used gear.

I’m in Oz.  :(

Thats strange. I have access to most of the accounts through which we receive sales requests (the online form, the info@ email account, the estore) and other than emails from last Wednesday 5pm US Eastern time until this morning (when we were closed for Thanksgiving - a US Holiday) we don't have many unreplied-to emails. Perhaps your request was caught in a spam filter. If you have Skype (or don't mind the long distance call) you'd be welcome to call our office (404-522-7662) which will be open for the next 8 hours (9am to 5pm US Eastern). You're also welcome to email me at doug@captureintegration.com.

Re: international shipping...
We have many oversees customers, but we have to deal with international shipping on a case-by-case basis. Big companies like B+H have dedicated shipping departments and international shipping specialists. For us international shipping always takes considerable time and effort (filling out customs forms, documenting the package in case of trouble, assigning insurance, etc) and so for small items it's just not sensible as the item might cost $30 and the shipping (to justify the time and cover the direct shipping cost) would have to be $50 which would surely seem a ripoff to those who haven't handled international shipments before. Consequently our eStore only allows US shipping and all international shipping requests are handled by email or phone.

Hope that clarifies things.

Note: Looks like Doug accidentally transposed an i with an e in his first e-mail link...  The link reading "e-mail Me" looks fine, though.

Best of luck,

Thanks Brad - I've corrected it now.

I few years ago I wanted to get the Cambo wide with 35mm Digitar, but no luck, no international Sale.

BUT GUESS WHAT ?! I probably managed to get myself a Christmas gift this year. I'm from Singapore and the local postal agency has forwarding services for a few countries namely the US and Japan. So I ordered one, I did declare that I'm using a forwarding service and the purchase was approved :) Total cost for shipping is higher, but at least I'll get it.

Thanks guys, the world is getting smaller. So for our brothers even further away in the Australia, I hope there is a solution for you soon.

Apart from cricket. Yes, the Poms are clearing a bit of arrogance away from the Oz team (I’ve always found Ponting to be particularly annoying, so am with the Barmy Army on this!).

*ahem ahem*  ;)

You might try Borderlinx.com. Operated by DHL, they give you a personal address at their facility in the US. You get the goods delivered to that address and then they forward the package on to you.
I've used it for a couple of things and find it to be reliable. You pay DHL shipping rates on the Australia leg of the journey.
Ricky Ponting is a sook.
Cheers,
