Maple Leaves in Snag
Temporary Gems
Those two in particular are superb.

And definitely not "more of the same"

Guy, the "connection from scenicwild.com was refused" when I clicked on your links.  Could be a temporary glitch, but you might want to investigate.

Autumn (or fall as some call it) is without doubt one of the best times to photograph nature, with all the marvelous colours in the leaves.  Time and again, they dominate landscape photos and with good reason!

Whilst this is all wonderful, it can easily suffer from "much of the same".

What have people tried in order to make different photographs from this time of year different enough to get some sort of "wow" factor out of people?

Can you capture falling leaves in a still photo effectively?
Animals preparing for hibernation?
Empty holiday resorts (akin to overturned boats)?
Landscapes where you can see a gradiation from full on green to reds and yellows?
Other ideas...?
