Museo Silver Rag setting for Z6100
« on: November 08, 2010, 10:43:44 pm »

I couldn't find any thick glossy paper preset under menu, does anyone know which setting is the best for most baryta thick paper on the Z6100?
Thanks

Few have a Z6100 here I guess but you could search for the Z2100 settings.

http://www.museofineart.com/profiles.aspx?type=silverrag

Custom>Fine Art Pearl (more ink) media preset setting for the Z2100 which has the same inkset the Z6100 has. Calibrate and make the profile after that.

If the Z6100 doesn't have that media preset you should check HP's sources for more Z6100 media presets to download.

There's no gloss enhancer on the Z6100 so that will give gloss differences but a spray varnish will solve that.

both website does not contain any solution
also HP Z6100 does not have FineArt Pearl +ink

I have both Z3200 and 6100, I really thought that I could apply what I've learned from 3200 to the 6100, seems like it wouldn't work

The HP Premium Instant Dry Photo Satin media preset has identical settings to the Fine Art Pearl on the Z2100-Z3100 according one of the Working with non-HP papers PDFs. Just the Carriage Height should be on High instead of Low.

Try that one.

I've talked to the Engine from HP, and he recommended HP Professional Satin which is originally a 300gsm paper
but i still get the scratch at the beginning of the print.
My Z6100 is not a brand new machine and the Engine said the vacuum system might be aged and getting weaker.
I'm screwed
