Back focus problem with D30/70-200f4L
« on: August 03, 2004, 02:27:25 pm »

[font color=\'#000000\']Has anyone using the EF70-200 f4L and D30, D60 or 10D experienced any AF inaccuracies?

My D30 seems to consistently back focus when used in both one shot and servo modes with this lens. The shots I take when manually focusing are pin sharp, and fine also on my EOS1 film bodies.

I've read several posts which mention similar problems, however I'm unsure whether the camera body is at fault, or that the 70-200 f4L has trouble with digital bodies. One post even suggested that Canon were aware of the 70-200's odd behaviour with digital cameras.

Before I send my equipment in for expensive repair, I would appreciate hearing from any fellow sufferers to get a better idea of what needs fixing.

Many thanks,
