HP Z2100 / 3100: 3" Spindle adapter workaround ?

Hi,

my HP Z2100 arrived yesterday and it's up an running smoothly without any problems.

Only problem: The 3" spindle adapters are missing. I asked some dealers here in Germany whether the adapters are on stock: They are not, nowhere and it usually takes about 3 weeks (can be even more) for HP to deliver them to the dealer at least.

So, my question: Is there a more or less elegant workaround to use 3" paper rolls on the 2" standard spindle in the meantime, until the HP spindles are here.

Any tips are very much appreciated.

I can recommend the purchase of some extra spindles, makes life a lot easier. Not expensive and it didn't take a week before they arrived.

At that time I thought I needed to purchase extra 3" adapters but that proved to be wrong, they were included on the extra spindles. So I have some extra 3" adapters, one pair locked in a narrow 3"core so no waste after all.
