Lightroom 3

 :-\ I have just purchased Lightroom 3 and I now want to purchase a tutorial if I purchase L 3 tutorial will it show me the basics or should I purchase an older version like L 2
I have never used Lightroom before.

If you have a clear idea of the concept of a photographic database and are a reasonably experienced photographer, the newer Lightroom 3 Tutorial will suit you fine. The older Lightroom 2 Tutorial is necessarily slightly more basic and presumes no prior knowledge but you will likely end up getting the Lr3 Tutorial anyway to familiarize yourself with the newer features of Lightroom.

Thank you Chris for the fast response - I have been using Photoshop for years but only to do the very basic things and after watching Michael on smibs TV and hearing him say he never opens photoshop now I got to thinking that it was way too much program for me as well.
I am a little concerned that I will not know the very basics - I have not even tried Lightroom out yet.  ::)
