Timo, Splended. Especially #3. I know it's Finland, but it looks lik northern Michigan to me.

All good but the third is quite exceptional and the toning is just perfect.

I like the exceptional mood in 3 and the luminosity on the lone tree in 2.
1 is a nice composition, but I suspect I might like that one better in colour (not sure, just a hunch)

The third is great, but so is the second one. Not keen on number one though

#3 is absolutely outstanding.  I'd love to see it framed and mounted on my wall!   :)  #1 is nice, but it may have too much in focus.  I think a narrower DOF would serve it well.  All three are excellent IMHO though.

I especially like #3, but I also recognize that #1 is about as Ansel Adamsy as you can get. Look at the range of tones in there. Everything from 0 through 10 is fully represented. It's quite a technical tour de force on Timo's part.

Shows good technique doesn't necessarily yield an excellent picture ;D, another AA mantra.
I think the problem is that a lot of tones of different subjects/surfaces fall too close together while our brain knows they're different, and therefore wants to see more separation. Hence my comment to try colour, since that would provide an additional means to achieve that.

I concur - the third is magical - it has an ethereal quality to it that is quite 'fantastic'. Lovely work.

#2 and #3 are both great - light and toning are wonderful.
#1 is not in the same league, but I wonder how a big print would look -
I guess texture is the core working principle here and would need size to really come out.
