I thought of the same basic design, but did not patent it!

¿Is there any way of getting an English translation? is there an English version of this Mag?

Thanks Thierry.

Have often wondered how you're doing, but didn't want to intrude on your privacy.

Are you working in photo industry?

hi Billy,

you have never intruded my privacy, yet.

 ;)

Am not working in the photo industry, nor in sales, and am not less happy!

Thierry

Hi Thierry

Are you going to the PK ?
Would be nice to meet you there. Be prepared: This camera changes everything you thought to know about operating a view camera. Forget about axis given by the mechanical design. Change perspective without affecting the focal plane. Define the focal plane by individual focussing three points. Change focus on a specific point, while maintaining the focus on the two other points. Move the image area without affecting any other setting.
Recall the setup of previously taken images, store favourite settings or do automated sequences: Stereo photography, focus bracketting, macro scan and panorama.

Hi Thierry,

Will you be visiting the Photokina anyway? Would love to meet you again (we met earlier at Papa Joe's), no need to talk about the past...

Cheers,
Bart

no, I won't unfortunately be able to go to PK, but anyone planing or willing to visit the Rhein Falls thereafter is welcome to visit me.
I have already a few having "booked".
To all I wish a nice exhibition.

It can make excellent images, while simultaneously launching a small satellite and controlling the economics of a mid-sized country...

Wow.

Really interesting concept! Especially picking the 3 points to determine the focal plane, this would take out a lot of time using a view camera (well for me it would anyway :)).

Indeed the Youtube video to show us would be really interesting. Would it be commercially feasible is the other question that pops into my mind?

hi Rolf,

I remember when the Sinar e was introduced, in '92, I was thinking that the camera was in some ways much too early, because lacking of all the possibilities this new camera now has and because the technology  was not then ready for it.

So here we are, and I sincerely hope that it will do it to the market.

All the best,
Thierry

Kumar,

Yep, if it ships with a couple of sherpas I might consider it. :)

Cheers,
