What filter size for a 90mm lens on 617 camera?
« on: September 14, 2010, 08:41:44 am »

Hi All,

I recently got a 617 camera with a 90mm lens and need to get some new filters so I don't get vignetting.

The centre filter for my Rodenstock f6.8 lens has an outer ring of 86mm, the lens itself has a filter ring of 67mm, will a 100mm square filter kit vignette with this using 2 filters?

Thanks

Jason

I have a holder that clamps on to the outside of the lens and holds two 75mm filters. It will fit on lenses upto 80mm dia. It does not vignette with any of my lenses, including a 45mm Grandagon on 6x12 film. I believe holders for 100mm are also available, with correspondingly larger clamps. The holder doesn't have a name on it, sorry. If you like I can post a photo of the holder.
