can't open raw files for new LX5

Hi,

I just purchased two cameras, the dmc-fz100, and the dmc-lx5. I have no problem with the fz100, and can open the raw images in adobe photoshop cs5, and can also convert these files to dng, using the dng converter v6.2.0.28. Unfortunately, I cannot open the raw files of the dmc-lx5. My operating system is OSX 10.6.4. Anybody run into this problem? Any suggestions?

With any new camera the first port of call is to Adobe Downloads to see if they have an update.

http://www.adobe.com/ap/downloads

On the side you will see latest updates and Camera Raw 6.2 update should fix your problem.

I already have the latest update, acr is 6.2.0.29, and dng converter is 6.2.0.28. The 6.2 update was for both of my cameras, but only the dmc-fz100 works, and the lx5 does not. that is what is so weird. I haven't seen any other query out there regarding this.

update on unopened raw images. I was able to open some of my lx5 raw images, but not others. I also tried using another computer with the latest dng converter, and the same problem, i could open some but not all images from the same camera. Therefore, it is not my computer, but in the LX5 camera? I'm going to contact Panasonic and see what happens there. If you have any other thoughts, it would be most appreciated.

Currently some raw files shot with the LX5 in its iZoom mode cannot be opened in ACR 6.2 / LR 3.2. This will be fixed in a future update of ACR / LR.
