Last week Konica Minolta replaced my A2, under guarantee,
after failing to rectify a recurring fault condition despite replacing 4 pcbs. Of my 6 month ownership, 2 have been resident with service dept.
The faults experienced were overheating of the camera body, especially around the hand grip, which eventually caused the camera to freeze. Reset could only be achieved by dropping the battery out. During the heating up process, which occurs after approx. 10 mins of continuous "power on", the anti shake becomes unstable as does the auto focus noticeably at about 1-2 meters halfway through the magnification range ( +/- 80mm).
Unfortunately the replacement camera, in early testing, now appears to be reproducing the same overheating status.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems with this Model?
and if so is this an inconvenient “characteristic”?
