Epson 7880 inks for the 7800

I have access to a 7800 printer and wanted to buy a new 4880 (don't need the 24") with the newer ink colours but have been thinking is there an upgrade so as the new colour set is able to be used in the 7800 printer. Maybe a cheaper option?

Can you use the Epson 7880 inks in the Epson 7800  - namely the Vivid magenta and Vivid light Magenta -

Is there and upgrade for the 7800 to use the latter inks.

What's the difference in the colours and tones between the inksets - is it worth getting the 7880 series with VM and VLM as all the other inks seem to be the same.

I think you can use all the 7880 inks on your 7800 except for what you ask for, Vivid Magenta and VLM.
Probably because of different firmware in the printers. My tip is to contact a dealer like ShadesofPaper or Inkjetart and ask for advice.
