looks interesting. shame they are using the mediocre 45 t-se with 50mpixels instead of the 90mm

Had similar thought. Then I read the plaque - Color distinction beyond the capability of the human eye - and realized the 45 does aid that end as it always shows green and red bands my eye never notices in the original scene ...

the camera is pointing at a painting. i guess it's an impressionist work or perhaps a modernist theme with random areas of colour and no real detail.

Kudos to Canon for trotting out the proof of concepts this week
from 120mpx APS-size sensor
http://www.dpreview.com/news/1008/10082410canon120mpsensor.asp
to 8" x 8" sensor sensitive to half moonlight
http://www.dpreview.com/news/1008/10083101canonlargestsensor.asp
to 4K video camera
http://www.eoshd.com/content/329-Canon-reveal-4K-movie-camera-at-NY-Expo
I wonder what the dimensions are of this 50mpx sensor, and if it has an AA filter.
It doesn't look like it has a mirror? so I wonder if it has rumored global shutter technology
as mentioned here:

I read a long time ago that Canon had a patent on moving color filters, perhaps this is using that. I assume it would would well for static subjects.
