Picture Downloading
« on: August 31, 2010, 11:00:51 am »

I have a small side business where I take pictures at a local dirt race track on the weekends. Every week I take a ton of pictures and post them on my website. I water mark them as best as I can but in the world of kids and facebook people do not seem to care if the watermark is there or not. Week after week people continue to download my pictures off of my website and post them on their profiles.

I’m wondering, is there an in expensive computer program out there where I can post my pictures to my website but make it so the pictures can not be downloaded?

If this topic has been covered before I apologize. THANKS for everyone’s help!!!

Has been covered extensively here and elswhere. Summary: if you don't want people to use your digital images, don't post them on the internet.

Anyone telling you they have a program which can prevent anyone with just basic knowledge of computers appropriating images online is either lying or trying to sell you something which doesn't work.

Of course, if you size them to about 2 pixels by 3 pixels. fewer people will download them. On the other hand, ...  ;)
