LR3 Tutorial titles in iPad
« on: August 15, 2010, 09:32:33 pm »

When I upload the latest LR3 tutorials to my iPad, because of the length and similarity of the titles, every one shows up in the video selection screen as-

Lu-La Guide to Lightroom...

This makes it a little difficult to distinguish which one is which.

Have I done something wrong? Or is it because of the titles length for each segment that they are all being truncated to the above description?

Thanks

Yes, that is a problem on the iPad which doesn't seem to allow very long titles (they are however in the correct order on your iPad).

It is easy to fix. You simply need to edit the title metadata to something shorter.

On the Mac - (sorry I don't have iTunes for PC) you select the first of the videos in the Library of iTunes and do a Get Info (Cmd/Ctrl i);
this brings up the metadata panel;
Look for the Info tab;
Under Name, delete the "Lu-La Gide to Lightroom 3" and replace it with something like "Lr3";
this will leave the critical part of the movie name and should be readable on your iPad eg: "Lr3 - 01. Introduction", "Lr3 - 02.What's New" etc

Sorry about this - next time I'll keep the titles shorter!
