In your experience what boxes have given you the most neutral rendition?

Not sure what you mean by "neutral rendition".  If you are referring to colour, I would expect any colour cast likely in a softbox to be removed post-processing.  If you mean, neutral as in soft light, generally larger the better (but you probably know that).  I've just bought a Lastolite Easybox Hotshoe copy for the balance between portability and size and am very happy with it.  I didn't try any others.
