I give up... how do you...
« on: August 09, 2010, 06:04:09 pm »

...select one image to export or print?  I've tried everything I can think of, and it keeps wanting to export — or, yikes, print — all 137 images in the folder.  Seems to me if I right click on one image and choose export or print, it would export or print that image, or at least ask me if I really want to print 137 images...

Nill

p.s.  Hmmm... here's a clue... clicking on an image doesn't select or deselect it.  All 137 are still selected.  Dang, I've got a learning curve to climb on this app...  :-(

Nill, pull down the Edit menu. There you will see several choices for selecting/deselecting.  Ctrl-D to "select none" for example.

If they are all selected, there's really no way to click/whatever-click to just select one (that I know of anyway). You have to use the menu or the keyboard shortcut.

I send the ones or one I want to export to Quick Collection, highlight it and export it.

If several photos are already selected and then you click on the frame that surrounds the photo you want (as opposed to clicking on the thumbnail itself) you will select only that photo.

Thanks all.  Like I said, lots to learn.  Funny, I enjoy learning a new app for the fun of it, but gosh I despise it when I'm trying to do real work.  ;-)

Cmd/Ctl + Shift + D is another way to reduce the selection to the most-active image.

I had forgotten about clicking the frame around the image -- thanks for the reminder.
