Broncolor replacement flashtubes
« on: August 09, 2010, 10:22:05 am »

I recently stumbled into a really good deal on some old Broncolor gear ($300 for an Opus A4 pack, 3 Primo heads, and some Chimera speedrings).
The seller told me beforehand that all 3 flashtubes needed to be replaced, but as I was testing, I noticed that one tube still works.
My question is this: Does anybody know of any aftermarket suppliers of flashtubes? I'll plunk down the $440 per tube for the two tubes if I have to, but it'll take a lot of saving up. Surely there's an aftermarket tube manufacturer out there somewhere. Anybody got any leads?

Contact Robal or Jackie at 323-466-8662 in Los Angeles.
I used to have only Broncolor equipment and Robal was in charge of the maintenance. The tubes were half the price of original Broncolor tubes with the same color temp and life. If I recall correctly, they were Elinchrom tubes.
