ILLUMINATED KEYBOARD for a Mac
« on: July 26, 2010, 12:50:11 pm »

Does anyone have experience /recommendations for an illuminated keyboard that will work on a Mac--similar to the keyboard on an Apple laptop?   On the standard Apple keyboard on my  tower G5  the letters are getting harder to see as I age.

I have been using a Logitech Gaming keyboard for a few years now. It has illuminated keys and programmable keys which are great for Photoshop and Lightroom. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/devices/7246

Basic functions seem to work fine on Mac OS X computers. Additional custom buttons would need a Mac specific driver. USB Overdrive might be the answer ( http://www.usboverdrive.com/USBOverdrive/News.html ). I would contact Alessandro Levi Montalcini.

Read Logitech's forums ( http://reviews.logitech.com/7061/4740/reviews.htm?sort=submissionTime&dir=asc ) and if you order that keyboard then be sure to order from a shop that accepts returns.
