Secong monitor for imac
« on: July 24, 2010, 06:06:15 pm »

I have the current i7 iMac 27" with the 512 video card. From what I understand, I can't attach my apple 30" as it won't run it. What is the largest monitor I can run as a secong monitor? Has anyone done this?  Thanks

According to Apple, if i got your specs right -

"Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to a 30-inch display (2560 by 1600 pixels) on an external display"

You may have to get the mini Displayport adapter to dual dvi adapter to get there.
