Scanner IT8.7/1 4X5 TRANSMISSIVE Target

For those color gurus, I am interested to learn the science and technical aspects of how scanner TRANSMISSIVE targets are made, the process, equipment used and how film is exposed and developed.

This is only for own education, if any has a white paper,  documentation or would like to elaborate, I thank you in advance.

I’d ping Don Hutcheson. He’s a great fellow, a super color management geek and has one of the best targets on the market for this task so he knows all the gory details:
