ND filters for Mamiya 28mm D?
« on: July 07, 2010, 11:50:07 am »

Hi,

I have seen a topic that showing how to put a PL filter on 28mm D. However, I am considering to use ND filters like Lee 100x150mm with this lens. Anyone has any experience with this experiment? I use P30+ so some vignettes at corners can be acceptable.

Thanks,
Yod

ND filters for Mamiya 28mm D?

I made several attempts to place a filter on the 28mm Mamiya that all ended in failure.  I used the Cokin X filters and attempted various means of attachment however all ended up with too much vignetting.  I ended up going back to handholding the filter as it was the filter attachment that was causing the problems.  Since then I've sold all my kit and now shoot with a Cambo WRS1000.

While I believe the Mamiya 28mm lens is a superior lens the fatal flaw for me was the lack of filter attachment on the outside.
