Hasselblad H1D

What kind of a performer is this camera? Any negative points? What about using it for long exposures? How does it stack up against the Phaseone P-25?

Assuming you mean a P25 on an H1 camera?

I won't get into image quality, software differences, etc. But the H1D is an H1 camera that has a "married" 22MP Hasselblad digital back on it that uses the same sensor as the P25. The most notable difference between the 2 products is that the H1D requires the 40GB ImageBank to work (even shooting tethered) while the P25 can accept CF cards or shoot directly via firewire. On the plus side for the H1D, even today it's nice to have 40GB's of storage to shoot to untethered and uninterrupted, and that's what the ImageBank gives you. On the other hand, if an Imagebank goes down and you don't have a spare, you're SOL. More options in case of firewire or CF slot failure on a P25.

The H1D employs a fan for cooling, the P25 does not. At one point, the H1D could not accept Hasselblad "D" lenses like the 28mm and also did not offer Ultra Focus or DAC (lens corrections). This may have changed - but someone else will have to answer that. The P25 does have lens correction capability for Hasselblad lenses in Capture One.
