In search of Zacuto holy grail

Hi.

I just started to use a dslr for making "serious" video=   +  +

It is just the most anti-usable device that I've seen in my entire life, so calling the joker: zacuto's accessories.

There are many interesting things exept one thing that I would like to get somewhere and I do not see it in their catalog.
It's a sort of ring for focussing manually with accuracy with the primes.

A pic of the beast is better than my bad English:

See the "joystick"? well, I wonder if such an accessory is available to emulate that and adaptable to different diameters of the proper lens focus ring.

Thank you.

Well if your going to jump in to the 5D video frustration, or I mean production, then you need to become a regular here:

Zacuto products will all be heavily discounted next year when Sony and Panasonic introduce their new large sensor prosumer cameras. They showed mockups/prototypes at NAB this year.

Looks like primitive follow-focus aid. Zacuto and numerous other companies sell those to retrofit still lenses with follow-focus.

It looks like the Redrock Micro nano focus

Brian,

Cool. That would work great for zooming, better than focusing in my opinion. Price and availability?

actually it works great for either. ETA is a week or two  -  the nano lever is estimated at $34.50 plus a lens gear (works with an existing RR lens gear if you already have one).

Cheers
