My web gal just left and is starting work on setting up my new gallery for my website using Slideshow Pro with Director. I was with Morephotos for a year and was not happy with the limited galleries they offered. To date I have not seen any landscape and nature galleries run by Slideshow Pro. Most if not all of the samples I have seen are either wedding, architectural or portfolio sites.
If someone could steer me to several sites showing landscape and nature photography with seperate albums using this software it would be greatly appreciated. Still looking for ideas before we get to deep into the setup.
The best I have seen so far is Wayne Fox's gallery.

I'm unsure you're asking the right question. You can configure SSP to appear in many different ways, so for site appearance you might be better off identifying photo sites you like rather than just finding an SSP/Director based site. Director itself works behind the scenes, and makes it very easy for you to update your site without needing help from your designer.

But have you looked through the sites in their show and tell or their sites of the month?  You can also see how my HTML site and my Flash site look very different. Both are based on Director, using the same images, but one is pure HTML (using Director's API) and the other uses the SlideShowPro Flash component.

John,
My website is complete other then the new gallery we are working on. In the past I had my web person make the changes evry time we had something to add or delete so it was costly. One of the problems with Morephotos was that it was not set up to showcase your photos with a decent gallery. Which brings us to Slideshow Pro and Director. Once I have my Landscape and Nature Gallery setup and ready to go I will be able to make any changes myself.
I was hoping to find several folks that have worked with this program in setting up a gallery. I have looked at many gallery templates but wanted to see several with my type of photography that will work in SlideshowPro.

Although I do not use Director, I have several instances of SlideshowPro generated slideshows on my website.  Most of them are in my Fine Art galleries; you can get to them through my signature.  Some of the images in Fine Art travel are landscapes and then there is a gallery that is just flowers.  These should give you a good idea of what SSP can produce.

Thank you Cynthia,
I will pass your site on to Julie to take a look at. Nice work by the way.
Another thing I need to solve is to find a way for the client to identify a print for purchase. I tried the shopping cart with MorePhotos and it just did not work out.
I would rather have prospective clients call me if they like one of my prints. Since I print everything myself and all in custom sizes I am setting the new gallery up in this fashion. The big problem I see with Flash is everything is a slide show and it gets a little too busy if you put too much copy with each shot. You still have to have some good way of identifying a picture for purchase. The 16th picture in your landscape slide show doesn't cut it.

With Slideshowpro, you can set up a gallery with thumbnails and opt to identify the thumbnail by number.  Then a client could just tell you the name of the gallery and the # of the thumbnail.

There are some other plugins for Lightroom web gallerie that will allow you to build a website.  Google The Turning Gate, Fotoplayer, and just see what comes up if you google Lightroom web plugin.

Good luck!

There is a feature is SlideShowPro, I believe it is called permalinks. It is documented in SSP documentation and your web developer should be able to set it up for you. Look at my web site at http://elsners.org/gal/portfolio/, view any photo and look at the URL bar of your browser. You will see something like http://elsners.org/gal/portfolio/#id=album-53&num=11 where the album identifies the album and num identifies the actual picture in that album.
