Erratic Brush Behavior
« on: June 19, 2010, 05:32:44 pm »

Hello,

After carefully making a brush mask and associated edits, if I leave an image and then come back the mask is changed: masked areas are unmasked and vice-versa. I also notice that when adding brush strokes, I get a larger rectangular area highlighted in the mask color (red) which subsequently goes away, but seems anomalous, and perhaps provides insight to the problem?

Anyone seen this? Any solutions?

Thanks!

Hello,

Well, I am now using LR3.4RC on a 27" iMac running 10.6.7 with plenty of RAM. I find that I am still having erratic brush problems, though I am using a new computer.

Now, on occasion, when I am using a brush and make adjustments to exposure (and other sliders) with the arrow-key and the mouse hovering over the slider, I can make a change, say decrease exposure by 0.2, and it will reflect in the image as expected. After about 5 to 10 seconds, during which I have done nothing, the change reverts by itself to the previous setting, as though I had chosen "undo". Obviously frustrating.

Any thoughts? Anyone else with these types of issues?

Thanks,

Michael
