Long USB cables for Canon 5DII..
« on: June 19, 2010, 04:00:47 pm »

Does anybody know if normal USB cables from B&H will work for shooting tethered on the 5DII and or does the Booster cables work?
Can some one direct me to a long USB cable that will work with the 5DII...
Thanks for any information....

I use a similar cable with a 1DSMKIII and several 10 foot usb extentions, over 30 foot of cable.  Works great.  I've also used just the extentions (3) and had no problems.  I originally got the booster because my (then) new 1DSMKIII had liveview problems and corrupt files.  Turns out the new camera had a problem and was repaird by Canon

If you are running a long usb, why not use one of these too.  Another thing I use constantly.  I like it because I can use mirror lockup.
