L-L Guide to Capture One 5 Pro
« on: June 13, 2010, 11:56:20 pm »

I have posted the Luminous Landscape Guide to Capture One 5 Pro in the store's Specials section

It is currently missing a few files which will be added over the course of the next week. Some of the Table of Contents and descriptions may be inaccurate for the next day or two...

I have priced it at 10% off the full price until it is complete.

The 5.1 Update video (File 24) will go up within 24 hours.

Chris / Michael,

Just curious - if you are not a Capture 1 user (like myself) is there still content in this video that applies or would be useful to users of Lightroom / Camera RAW etc?

Obviously the focus is C1 - however, I found the Camera RAW video of benefit even though I live in Lightroom - just wondered if the same might apply here - or if it really is only useful for C1 users.

Thanks.

There appears to be a problem with file 25: the downloaded zip file is 299.1 MB however when unzipped I only get a 4 KB "Read Me - Placeholder" text file. I have tried downloading four times on both an iMac and a PowerBook G4 both running Mac OS X v 10.5.8 and tried expanding the file using Archive Utility and StuffIt Expander.

The other files up to file 22 expand with no problems.

Can you please check the file.

Regards

The file appears to be corrupt. It actually needed to be changed in any event since there are now only 24 videos not 25.

So I will be replacing the corrupt File 25 with a placeholder. The 5.1 revision video will be in File 24. The Table of Contents will be revised. Files 25 & 26 will then remain placeholders for possible future videos.

Apologies for this. All the corrections should be made by midnight EST. The product will be made 'live' in its own section of the store tomorrow - Wednesday, June 16

I think you are more likely to get a reply & comment to this in the C1 section. Would you please repost this there?

Yes, quite correct. But at the level of your observation, I think that the C1 Forum will likely attract more knowledgeable eyeballs ...
