Canon iPF8100 Calibration with Spyder3 SR Studio
« on: June 13, 2010, 05:01:51 am »

Dear All,

I need some help on calibrating my Canon iPF8100 using the Spyder3 Studio SR. I calibrated my EIZO CG222W using the Color Navigator software from Eizo with the following setting

1. RGB Gamut (Monitor Native)
2. Brightness (80 cd/m2)
3. White Point (6500K)
4. Black Point (Minimum)

After that, using the Spyder3 SR Studio software, I tried to calibrate my Canon iPF8100 printer. I am using SIHL Supersorb PE 220 Glossy paper. They recommend using the HW Glossy Photo Paper setting for printing. The problem that I am having is right after reading the target patch. During the soft proofing, I got a yellow cast that I can not get rid by using the setting option from the software. What should I do now? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Got the problem fixed. Turned out to be the monitor clibration was off. The culprit is the Spyder3 monitor calibration unit. Changed it to Spyder2 and I was a happy camper.
