Not according to Schneider and Rodenstock. Unfortunate as I'd much prefer to leave the lens mounted for localized travel. How many are prepared to dismount?
To all concerning lenses on digital view cameras especially, but all view cameras in general with larger lenses. Both Rodenstock and Schneider are recommending against carrying any cameras over the shoulder with lenses mounted, especially digital such as Arca RM3d and Alpa, or any view camera, as the pounding of our steps coupled with leverage weight impact of the glass especially in larger lenses will eventually cause de-centering of the groups as the shutters are not sturdy enough to with stand the pounding. Digital is even more prone to this problem than film cameras ever were, as the thin, 1 micron, sensors require such tight specifications, at least 4 times tighter than film ever did.
